The 24 Hour Plays

We are delighted to announce that we have received a licence to perform an exciting new project.  The 24 Hour Plays.  Do not worry….this does not involve an audience sitting and watching a 24 hour performance (Although we’ve all sat through productions that feel that long!)

The concept is simple.  To write, cast, rehearse and perform a play of at least ten minutes in the space of 24 hours.  On Friday 27th October, each team will be allocated a title, an opening line and a closing line of dialogue, and then they will create a play in a day, to be performed the following evening 28th October at Barton Village Hall.

The show will be on sale to the public!

We will be entering some teams ourselves, but we would be delighted if some people from other groups would join us in the exciting venture!  Are you an existing group that fancies a challenge or simple a group of enthusiastic amateurs who fancy trying something totally new?

We will ask for an entry fee of £20 per team to go towards covering our costs.  We are limiting the evening to twelve plays.

It’s NOT a competition! There will be no judge or adjudication…Just a celebration of talent and enthusiasm….
